About Us

The story so far...

It started with a few hundred people, some local bands and a stage made of hay bales. Fourteen festivals later, Party In The Paddock is Lutruwita/Tasmania’s largest multi-day camping festival: big touring acts, local legends and a crowd that looks after each other.

We’ve grown a lot, but the heart hasn’t changed. We’re still independent, still built by the community that keeps coming back, and still a place where everyone’s welcome. We look after the land we party on, and we celebrate culture, art and the people who make this place what it is. Good music, good people and a paddock full of good times.

RESPECT FOR COUNTRY

Lutruwita/Tasmania and its Palawa/Aboriginal people

Party In The Paddock is held at Quercus Park on tilapangka/Liffey River, in Lutruwita/Tasmania, on Palawa/Tasmanian Aboriginal land. We respectfully acknowledge all Aboriginal people, the Traditional Owners of the Country on which we work and celebrate, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. We are proud to partner with Pulawini Aboriginal Corporation.

SOVEREIGNTY HAS NEVER BEEN CEDED.

A safe space for all to party!

The Paddock belongs to everyone. LGBTQIA+ representation, cultural exchange and inclusion are baked into who we are, and our non-negotiables are simple: respect yourself, Country and others.

dickhead free

Everyone’s here for a good time. Aggression, discrimination and ruining someone else’s night aren’t part of that. Our crew and security will step in, and anyone who spoils it for others will be removed from the festival.

Hands-off

No touching without consent. That goes for everyone, everywhere: the dance floor, the campground and everywhere in between. Harassment and assault will not be tolerated. We’ll remove anyone responsible and involve the police.

Look after your mates

Arrive together, check in often and don’t leave anyone behind. If a mate isn’t doing well, bring them to First Aid or the Info Booth tent. Our medical team is there to help, no judgement.

Keep the Paddock pristine

With over 13,000 people sharing the Paddock each year, we have a huge responsibility to keep this working farmland pristine. It’s a beautiful home for both farm animals and native wildlife. We live in Tassie and it’s famous for its ‘leave no trace’ ethos, outdoors adventure way of life, epic scenery and picturesque wilderness.

As Tassie’s biggest festival, we’ve got a standard to uphold and we need your help!

YOUR PART IS EASY:

Take your tent, gear and rubbish home with you.
Use the bins and recycling stations around the site.
Bring a reusable bottle and fill up at our free water stations.

Come and be part of it!
